Planning: Lyrics For 'My Emily' By Lower Than Atlantis

Alarm clock rings, another day in hell begins
I'm going out of my mind until she walks in
They say love is blind but my vision is fine
Angels sing when I look in her eyes, I'm like...

Emily, won't you sit next to me?
You got such a pretty face, I'm a waste of space
But a boy can dream

It sucks you're cool and I'm not but they say
Every dog has it's day
No chance at all I guess I'm barking up the wrong tree anyway

I'm like a dog in heat and I'm on a short lead
We never play the same games because you're out of my league
You don't even know my name and you see me every day

I must be invisible, I just wish that I could say... 'Hey!'

This song doesn't have a music video which is good because we won't have any preconceptions by our TA and will have an easier time getting copyright licence.

Licensing My Song Choice

The song Lisa, Hannah and I have decided to use is 'Emily' by Lower Than Altantis, the song is very upbeat and has strong beats that will help when we come to edit the video. Lisa  and I have emailed Song Music Licences and have asked for their permission for us to use the song the email read;

"I am writing to ask for your permission for me and my Friend"

Planning: Initial ideas- Possible Performers

Peaceful Panic pop punk band has 4 members and they have agreed to let us include them in our music video.

They are a confident and happy band and they have agreed to sing the song we choose.

Research: Music Channels

There are a lot of TV outlets for music, either on cable, freeview or the Internet.  Some, such as Kerrang, are multimedia, with a TV station, print magazine and radio show.  All have big media companies behind them.  There is great potential for getting our video aired.

MTV (Viacom)
Kerrang (Bauer media group and Channel 4)
4 music
Viva
Kiss
Scuzz (CSC media group)
Magic
The Vault
Clubland TV
Bliss
Chart Show

Viva play music videos in many ways,  They have the UK top 40, urban charts and streaming charts to name but a few.  This would be an excellent choice for our video and 'new star' because they promote all kinds of music and do not specialise in genre.

Viva is owned by Viacome, who also own MTV.  I think Viva would be better because it appeals to a younger TA, like mine and I think MTV is more pop music whereas Viva is more cosmopolitan.
